Wird of Imam Abu Bakr bin Shaykh Abdur Rahman as-Saqqaf
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. O Allāh! I have protected myself through Allāh's fortification: its expanse is as Allāh has willed (mā shā Allāh); its lock is lā ilāha illallāh (there is no god but Allāh); its door is Muḥammadur rasulullāh (Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh), may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him and his family; its roof is la hawla wa la quwata illā billāhil ‛Aliyyil ‛Aẓīm (there is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great). It has encompassed us with [Sūrah al-Fātiḥah]: 'In the Name of Allāh, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. All Praise be to Allāh, Lord of all the Worlds; Most Compassionate, Most Merciful; Lord of the Day of Judgement. You alone do we worship, and to You alone do we turn for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace; not the way of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who went astray.' [Sūrah al-Fātiḥah (1), Verses 1-7]
With His Wall (of Protection), with His Wall (of Protection), with His Wall (of Protection). And the Qur’ānic Verse: {Allāh! There is no deity but Him; the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, the Eternal One. Neither slumber nor sleep can overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is there that can intercede in His Presence except by His permission? He Knows what will happen to them (His creatures) in this world and what will happen to them in the Hereafter; nor shall they comprehend anything at all of His Knowledge except as He Wills. His Throne extends over the Heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not exhaust Him, for He is the Exalted, the Magnificent.} [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verse 255] May it encircle us as the angels encircled the City of the Messenger - without trench or wall - shielding us from every decreed affliction, every feared danger, and every evil.
We shield ourselves through Allāh (3 times)
against our enemy and the enemy of Allāh, from the base of His Throne to the depths of His earth; with one hundred billion of: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great." Its structure cannot be broken with one hundred billion of: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great." Its force cannot be split apart with one hundred billion of: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great."
O Allāh! If any among of the jinn, humankind, wild beasts, or any of Your creation—whether a person, a devil, a ruler or an evil whisperer, plots to cause me any harm, then turn their gaze back upon them in defeat, cast confusion into their hearts, render their hands powerless, and disable them from head to toe, so they can cross no plain and scale no mountain—with one hundred billion of: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great."
And may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon our master Muḥammad, and upon his family and his companions.
Glory be to your Lord; the Lord of Honour and Power Who is far above what they attribute to Him; And peace be on the Messengers; And praise be to Allāh, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. [Sūrah Al-Ṣāffāt (37), Verses 180-182] in every moment for all eternity, equal in number to all His creation, to the measure of His pleasure, to the weight of His Throne, and equal to the ink it would take to write His Words.
