Al-Fātiḥah to the presence of our master, Prophet Muḥammad, may Allāh bestow blessings and peace upon him, his family and companions. I seek refuge in Allāh from the accursed Satan. In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allāh, Lord of all the worlds; the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgement. You alone we worship, and to You alone we turn for help. Guide us to the Straight Path, the Path of those You have blessed, not those who have incurred Your wrath, nor those who went astray. Āmīn [Sūrah Al-Fātiḥah (1), Verses 1-7]

I seek refuge in Allāh, the All-Hearing and All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan. (3 times)

Had We sent down this Qur’ān upon a mountain, you would have certainly seen it humbling itself and splitting asunder in fear of Allāh. We set forth such parables for people so perhaps they may reflect. He is Allāh, there is no god but Him. The Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. He is Allāh, there is no god, but Him: the Sovereign, the Holy, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Security, the Guardian over all, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allāh. Exalted is He above all they associate as partners with Him. He is Allāh, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. His are the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the Heavens and the earth glorifies Him. And He is the Almighty, the Perfectly Wise. [Sūrah Al-Ḥashr (59), Verses 21-24]

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allāh from the evil of what He has created. (3 times).

In the Name of Allāh, with Whose Name nothing in the earth or the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing. (3 times)

In the Name of Allāh, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. (10 times)

In the Name of Allāh, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. (3 times)

In the Name of Allāh, we seek His protection. In the Name of Allāh, we place our trust in Him. (3 times)

In the Name of Allāh, we believe in Allāh, and whoever believes in Allāh will have no fear. (3 times)

Glory be to Allāh, the Mighty. Glory be to Allāh, the Majestic. (3 times)

Glory be to Allāh and praise be to Him. Glory be to Allāh, the Magnificent. (3 times)

Glory be to Allāh, praise be to Allāh, there is no god but Allāh, and Allāh is Supreme. (4 times)

O You who are gentle with Your creation, who know them completely, who miss nothing of their condition — be gentle with us, O Most Gentle, O All-Knowing, O All-Aware. (3 times)

O You whose gentleness has never had a beginning, be gentle with us in whatever has befallen us, for You have never ceased to be gentle — be gentle with us and with every Muslim. (3 times)

There is no god but Allāh (40 times)

Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh. May Allāh send blessings and peace upon him and his family.

Allāh is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. (7 times)

O Allāh, bestow blessings upon Muḥammad. O Allāh, bestow blessings and peace upon him. (10 times)

O Allāh, bestow blessings upon Muḥammad. O Lord, bestow blessings and peace upon him.

I seek forgiveness from Allāh. (11 times)

We turn back to Allāh in repentance. (3 times)

Allāh, ensure! O Allāh, ensure! O Allāh, ensure a good end! (3 times)

We ask Your forgiveness our Lord, and to You will we all return. Allāh does not burden any soul with more than it can bear. It has [the good] it has earned, and [the evil] it commits. Our Lord! Do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us! Our Lord, do not place on us what we have no strength to bear! Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector. So grant us victory over those who reject faith. [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verses 285-286]

Then read:

Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master, our beloved, our intercessor, the Messenger of Allāh, Muḥammad bin ‛Abdillāh, and for his family, companions, wives, progeny. May Allāh elevate their ranks in Paradise, let us benefit from their spiritual secrets, lights, and knowledge - in our faith, our worldly life, and our life to come; and make us of their company, grant us their love, let us die upon their way, and resurrect us in their company, with goodness, gentleness, and well-being. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]

Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master Al-Muhājir Aḥmad bin ‛Īsā (the Emigrant to God), and for the soul of our master, the great teacher, Al-Faqih Al-Muqaddam Muḥammad bin ʽAlī Bā ʽAlawī and their ancestors and descendants, and all who have rights over them, that Allāh may forgive them, shower mercy on them, elevate their ranks in Paradise, and let us benefit from their secrets, their lights and their knowledge in our religious and worldly affairs and in the Hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]

Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master, our beloved, our blessing, the compiler of this Rātib, the Pole of Spiritual Breaths, al-Ḥabīb ‛Umar bin ‛Abd al-Raḥmān al-‛Attas; and for the soul of Shaykh ‛Ali bin ‛Abd Allāh Bārās; and for the soul of al-Ḥabīb ‛Abdur Rahman bin ‛Aqil al-‛Aṭṭās; and for the soul of Ḥusayn bin ‛Umar al-‛Aṭṭās and his brothers. Then for the soul of ‛Aqil and ‛Abd Allāh and Ṣāliḥ bin ‛Abd al-Rahman al-‛Aṭṭās; and for the soul of al-Ḥabīb ʿAlī bin Ḥasan al-‛Aṭṭās and al-Ḥabīb Aḥmad bin Ḥasan al-‛Aṭṭās, and their forebears and descendants, and for all who have rights over them; that Allāh forgive their sins, shower mercy on them, elevate their ranks in Paradise, and let us benefit from their spiritual secrets, lights, and knowledge in our religion, in this world and in the Hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]

Al-Fātiḥah for the souls of the saints, martyrs, the pious, and the righteous imāms, and for the souls of our parents, our learned scholars, and all who have rights over them. Then for the souls of the deceased Muslim men and Muslim women of this country, that Allāh forgive them, shower them with mercy, elevate their ranks in Paradise, and let us benefit from their spiritual secrets, lights and knowledge in our faith, our worldly life, and our life to come. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]

Al-Fātiḥah seeking acceptance, the fulfillment of every request and hope, and that all our affairs be set right outwardly and inwardly, in religion, this life, and the life to come; asking that every evil be averted and every good be brought to us, our parents, our children, our loved ones, and our teachers in faith, together with gentleness and well-being; and with the intention that Allāh illumine our hearts and outward forms with guidance, mindfulness of Him, chastity, and sufficiency; and grant us death upon Islam and true faith, without tribulation or trial. We ask this through the honor of the master of the descendants of ‘Adnān; and for every righteous intention; and to the presence of the Prophet (Muḥammad, may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him and his family): [Recite al-Fātiḥah]

Then say:

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. All praise be to Allāh, Lord of the Worlds — a praise that matches His blessings and is equal to His abundant generosity. O our Lord, to You belongs all praise, as befits the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your sovereignty. Glory be to You — we cannot praise You as You deserve; You are as You have praised Yourself. All praise is Yours until You are pleased, all praise is Yours when You are pleased, and all praise is Yours even after You are pleased.

O Allāh, bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad among the first generations; and bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad among the last generations; bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad at every time and moment; bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad in the highest heavenly assembly until the Day of Judgement; bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad until You inherit the earth and whoever is upon it — and You are the Best of Inheritors.

O Allāh, we ask You to safeguard and we entrust to You our faith, our lives, our wealth, our families, and everything You have given us. O Allāh, place us and them under Your protection, safety, security, and sanctuary, from every rebellious devil, every stubborn tyrant, every evil eye, every oppressor, every envious soul, and the evil of every evildoer. You have power over all things.

O Allāh, adorn us with well-being and safety, grant us true mindfulness of You and steadfastness, and protect us from everything that would cause regret in this life and the next. You are the One who hears all prayers.

And by Your Majesty and Beauty, O Allāh, bestow blessings upon our master Muḥammad, his family, and all his companions. Grant us to follow him perfectly, both inwardly and outwardly, O the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. Through the blessing of: {Glory be to your Lord; the Lord of Might, far above what they ascribe to Him. Peace be upon the Messengers. And all praise belongs to Allāh, Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.} [Sūrah Al-Ṣāffāt (37), Verses 180-182]
